Project Schedule

The Alhambra Housing Element Update project was described on the About page, and is expected to take about a year from data analysis all the way through adoption and certification.

Public Engagement

The Housing Element Update project will include lots of ways to get involved. In the beginning of the project, the project team will be sharing helpful information through this website, several City websites, newsletters, local newspapers, community events, and public meetings. We want to make sure you know what the project is about so you can share your ideas, concerns, and questions throughout.

Later, we will want to hear what you think about potential strategies and recommendations that will go in the Housing Element.

Upcoming Events

Housing Element Town Hall Events

Come hear about housing issues directly from your City Council member! The Alhambra Council Members are each hosting a Town Hall event to discuss the Housing Element project. These presentations will include an overview of RHNA and a discussion of potential housing strategies for your input.

These Town Hall Events will take place via the videoconference platform Zoom (links are copied below), but you can also dial in by phone. Get these phone numbers and more information on each event on the city's website: https://www.cityofalhambra.org/events

Community Survey

A community survey just closed. This survey began at the Community Workshop and sought feedback, experiences, concerns, and ideas as it relates to living in Alhambra, moving here, building new housing, maintaining housing, or offering housing services and assistance to those in need. This input will be used to inform the Housing Element as it is prepared.

The survey was open for three weeks from February 17, 2021 to March 14, 2021.

Missed the community survey? No problem.

There will be more opportunities to get involved and provide your input, feedback, and experiences. In addition, you can email your thoughts, ideas, and feedback at anytime to HousingElement@CityofAlhambra.org.
